Digital X-Ray
Great advances have been made in imaging techniques that allow doctors and surgeons to see bones and joints in detail. These techniques make it possible to pinpoint where a problem is and how serious it is. At Middle Georgia Orthopaedics, imaging techniques allow our expert surgeons and specialists to diagnose and treat orthopaedic conditions and disorders more quickly, more accurately, and more effectively. We provide onsite diagnostic services using the most current and sophisticated tools to help your physician determine the exact cause of your problems and how best to treat you.
One of our diagnostic imaging services is digitial X-ray (digital radiology), a form of X-ray imaging where digital X-ray sensors are used in place of traditional photographic film. Digital X-ray is used to diagnose conditions by taking pictures of the inside of the body.
On the day of your digital X-ray:
- Bring your doctor’s order for your X-ray and your insurance card(s) with you to your appointment.
- If an X-ray has previously been taken, please bring the films with you to your appointment.
- If you are unable to bring your previous films with you, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
To schedule your digital X-ray or if you have any questions regarding our digital X-ray service, please request an appointment online or call (478) 953-4563.
